Developed by Vital-EQ, an organization dedicated to stress management education and research, the Respiroguide Pro incorporates the latest findings from neuroscience and stress physiology. Its core principle relies on aligning breathing patterns with the heart’s resonant frequency, fostering heart and breath coherence—a state associated with emotional stability and physiological balance.

The device functions as a training tool for reflex modulation, promoting vascular elasticity and contributing to blood pressure regulation. Its application can significantly aid individuals in coping with stress-related conditions by encouraging diaphragmatic breathing at personalized resonance frequencies. These frequencies typically range between 0.06 Hz and 0.12 Hz, corresponding to approximately 4 to 7 breaths per minute.

Respiroguide Pro offers four preset breathing rates—6, 5, 4, and 7 breaths per minute—allowing users to identify and maintain their optimal resonance frequency through guided exercises. Achieving a state of cardiac coherence involves experiencing rhythmic breathing that optimizes heart rate variability (HRV). Users should aim to identify the breathing rate that produces the most balanced sensation, can be comfortably sustained for at least five minutes, and yields maximum HRV amplitude—ideally measured with compatible biofeedback equipment.

Empirical evidence accumulated over two decades supports the device’s efficacy in lowering blood pressure, reducing anxiety levels, enhancing cognitive performance, and facilitating trauma recovery. Notably, it is a medically tested device designed for safety; however, users should exercise caution regarding deep inhalations, which may induce dizziness. Emphasizing controlled exhalations is recommended for best results.

A quick start involves activating the device and synchronizing breath with the visual cue, a yellow dot that moves upward during inhalation and downward during exhalation. An initial three-minute session can be effective at reducing acute stress levels, with recommendations to increase duration gradually. Regular practice thrice daily is advised for optimal benefits over time.
